But my stated situation on acquiring pitching is if they can't rise ahead of the pack in the rotation, then I'm not innovating them. It's not quite as nice as the NFL where a new king is crowned peripherally every season, but rapidly and wildly once-underachieving MLB teams are showing that you can succeed in this league by extending up from the inside.
